The Baltimore Area Council (BAC), Boy Scouts of America (BSA) announced Edwards Performance Solutions Founder, Steve Edwards among 14 volunteers to receive the Silver Beaver Award for noteworthy service to scouting youth. Established in 1931, the Silver Beaver Award is the highest volunteer award given by the National Council, through nominations received from a local council. This award recognizes exceptional character and support to the scouting program at large.

Steve firmly believes that community involvement leverages community strength. Throughout his professional endeavors, Steve has always remained passionate about scouting. He is an active member of the BAC, BAC Executive Board, and the National Eagle Scout Association (NESA); as well as a recipient of the NESA Outstanding Eagle Scout award (2015) for outstanding local achievement.

In 2015, he served as Chairman for the Gathering of Eagles (GOE) – an annual celebration of new and experienced Eagle Scouts to honor those who exemplify positive leadership and promote community service in their professional lives. As Chairman, he was instrumental in achieving record attendance and sponsorships to benefit funding for youth in the Baltimore Area.
