Our History

Founded in 1997, Edwards Performance Solutions was the brainchild of Steve Edwards. Although cliché, he began the business in his home and then moved to the first official office in Columbia, MD by 2004.

He originally envisioned Edwards (then Edwards Industries) as a systems engineering firm, but quickly discovered his customer’s true need (and his expertise) resided in a solid program and project management discipline. Steve first met Edwards’ current President and CEO, Gina Abate while teaching a Microsoft Training course. They kept in touch; and when Steve was looking to expand, Gina came to mind as a natural fit for his growing organization.

Today, Edwards supports both government and commercial customers specializing in Enterprise Management, IT Solutions, Training & Development, and Cybersecurity. “At the end of the day, our people are the reason we succeed,” states Gina, “without their expertise we could not provide such dynamic solutions for our customers.”
