Inside the CCA Course
CCA training moves beyond foundational CMMC knowledge into practical Level 2 assessment work using realistic organizational scenarios, evidence, interviews, scoping decisions, and implementation review.
Learn how assessment objectives are evaluated and scored using established CMMC and NIST SP 800-171 assessment methods.
Understand what happens throughout an assessment, including expectations, outputs, evidence review, interviews, and findings.
Practice identifying assessment boundaries, asset types, supporting systems, and the factors that affect Level 2 scope.
Examine how organization size, locations, infrastructure, on premises systems, and hybrid environments affect an assessment.
Scenario Based Training
The five day course uses multiple organizational scenarios that vary in size, location, and technical environment. Students work through NIST SP 800-171 requirements, relevant assessment objectives, evidence expectations, and practical assessment decisions.
Instruction includes technical and administrative perspectives from Cyber AB Provisional Instructors who are also CCAs or Lead CCAs working with Level 2 CMMC assessments.
Before Class
Passing the CCP exam is not required to attend this course, but CCA training builds directly on the material covered in CCP training.
Students should already be familiar with Level 2 scoping, the CMMC Assessment Process, and the individual practices in the CMMC Assessment Guide Level 2.
