C3PAO stands for CMMC Third Party Assessment Organization. A C3PAO performs the formal assessment used to determine whether an organization meets the requirements for CMMC certification.

Edwards is authorized to conduct CMMC assessments using qualified CMMC assessors and the required assessment process. Assessment work is distinct from consulting that helps an organization prepare.

A Registered Practitioner Organization provides CMMC consulting and implementation support for organizations working toward compliance and certification.

The roles are different. An RPO can help an organization prepare for CMMC. A C3PAO performs the formal certification assessment. Edwards holds both designations.

Approved Publishing Partners develop curriculum and learning materials aligned with the objectives used to educate CMMC professionals.

Edwards does more than deliver CMMC instruction. We also develop educational materials that support professional CMMC training.

An Approved Training Provider is part of the CMMC training ecosystem and delivers professional education aligned with approved CMMC learning objectives.

Edwards provides CMMC training for professionals pursuing roles such as Certified CMMC Professional and Certified CMMC Assessor.

PMI is the Project Management Institute. It develops professional project management standards and credentials, including the Project Management Professional, or PMP.

PMI Authorized Training Partners provide PMI aligned instruction for professional education, certification preparation, and eligible PDU learning.

ISO 9001 is a quality management standard. It focuses on defined processes for meeting requirements, reviewing performance, maintaining consistency, and improving over time.

Edwards certification demonstrates that documented quality processes are part of how work is managed and reviewed across the organization.

CMMI stands for Capability Maturity Model Integration. It is a framework used to evaluate and improve how consistently an organization defines, performs, measures, and improves its processes.

At Maturity Level 3, processes are defined at the organizational level and used across projects instead of being created independently for each individual effort.

A technology partnership is different from a quality certification or process appraisal. It relates to Edwards experience working with Microsoft technologies and solutions.
