Joining in 2024, Ryan works with both commercial and government clients as he leverages Edwards deep expertise in program management, performance improvement, and organizational learning to support the strengthening of organizations and their ability to stay ahead of threats and thrive despite hazards that disrupt and threaten operational success.
In this role, Ryan draws on his background in crisis management, business continuity, and risk management. This includes his appointment as emergency management director, where he led the response and recovery to multiple complex emergencies and disasters.
Ryan is appointed to the Maryland Governor’s Emergency Management Advisory Committee and as Secretary of the Maryland World Class Consortia. He also enjoys teaching as adjunct faculty in the Sellinger School of Business and Management at Loyola University of Maryland.
Ryan holds a Master of Science in Engineering Management from The George Washington University. He is a Project Management Institute (PMI) certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and holds numerous certifications related to risk management, business continuity, and emergency management.
