When standing up or helping improve a PMO, Edwards draws on our proprietary playbook, “the Edwards Management System” (EMS). This framework is filled with templates and resources that can easily be customized to meet a wide range of client needs and ensures that we consistently provide the highest quality PMO support.
We begin each engagement by establishing project complexity using our proprietary Enterprise Complexity Matrix (ECM). Next, we create a project management plan (PMP), which identifies how Edwards will implement and/or deploy a suite of tools, technologies, metrics, and reporting in conjunction with existing enterprise measures, tools, and processes.
Using our Edwards Management System (EMS) framework, which aligns with both CMMI Level 3 for Services and ISO 9001:2015, we help clients mature their PMOs and associated governance programs while improving their use of PMO best practices. Our clients consistently experience increased PMO buy-in and effectiveness across their organization.
Edwards will enable Maryland’s Agile transformation through a combination of our staff, our tools, and proactive knowledge transfer and training. Our staff are highly certified in Agile methodologies, and we also have a proprietary software framework, ECHO, that provides simultaneous program reporting support for Agile, waterfall, and hybrid projects. Our approach also includes mentoring and training to help project teams understand the benefits of Agile—getting them excited about embracing new methods in a way that empowers their performance as opposed to mindless compliance.
