DESCRIPTION:The HIMSS National Capital Area (NCA) chapter will host an evening of discussion on the impact of compliance\, risk\, program integrity\, and improvement activities on healthcare payment models. The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) and other federal health agencies are investing in data systems and initiatives to safeguard the dollars that pay for the health and welfare of Medicare\, Medicare\, CHIP\, and other healthcare beneficiaries. In this meeting\, panelists will address changes to the laws and regulations with a specific focus on interdicting fraud\, waste\, and abuse.
