SUMMARY:"CMMC 2.0 Myths Busted" Live Dataprise Webinar
DESCRIPTION:Tune into Dataprise’s live webinar\, “CMMC 2.0 Myths Busted\,” on February 9 at 1:30pm EST\, presented by Edwards Senior Cybersecurity Consultant and Instructor\, Joy Beland. \nBeland collaborates with Datatprise’s professionals vCISO\, Samuel Bourgeois\, and vCISO Maximo Bredfeldt\, to bring you an hour long presentation on conceptions about CMMC 2.0 and how it affects your organization. \nIn November 2021 the DOD announced CMMC 2.0\, which introduces many changes and compliance requirement updates for federal contractors. Since the DOD’s codification of CMMC 2.0 in DFARS can take up to 24 months\, it’s unsurprising that misinformation around the program abounds. \nWhen it comes to CMMC 2.0\, have you wondered: \n\nIf this even applies to you since you don’t deal with DOD contracts?\nIf you should wait to get started only until everything is finalized?\nIf your compliance with other frameworks makes you CMMC compliant?\n\n\nIf your IT person or department can handle all this on their own?\n\nJoin our webinar with Dataprise as we bust the myths surrounding CMMC 2.0 and provide expert insight and guidance on taking actionable next steps. For more details or to register\, check out the event page here. \n

SUMMARY:Vendor Risk Management + Mitigation: How to Modernize\, Streamline & Improve
DESCRIPTION:Dataprise is hosting a live webinar\, Vendor Risk Management + Mitigation: How to Modernize\, Streamline & Improve. Join Dataprise’s Senior Director of Cybersecurity\, Stephen Jones\, and Edwards Performance Solutions’ Director of Commercial and Cybersecurity Programs\, Brian Hubbard\, for an interactive discussion. \n“Business risk doesn’t stop at the boundary of your organization. Your vendors present a potential threat in your ability to protect business information; while not all vendors pose equal risk\, the impact of a data compromise through a third-party vendor can be just as devastating as a direct compromise. \nHowever\, a complete vendor risk assessment can be costly and time consuming. A tailored approach to vendor risk management and mitigation can make your processes more efficient\, allowing your business to focus on what it does best.” \n  \nTopics that will be covered: \n• How third parties introduce risks into your organization and the types of vendor risks that are most critical to monitor \n• Building a modernized vendor risk management program and what to expect throughout the process \n• Standards\, compliance\, monitoring\, and contingency planning \n• Remediation \n  \nA Q&A will follow as well. Can’t attend the live event? Register anyway to receive the recording afterward. Check out their event here!

SUMMARY:New DoD CMMC Regulations Webinar
DESCRIPTION:Edwards Performance Solutions’ Director of Commercial and Cybersecurity\, Brian Hubbard and Director of Business Development\, Eric Levitas\, will share how we are best preparing government contractors for new requirements at MEGA Maryland 2020. The Department of Defense (DoD) has announced the introduction of a new program called the Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) to combat external cybersecurity threats. CMMC will serve as a framework for the enforcement of the department’s existing Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) requirements. CMMC will become the standard on all DoD RFI’s and RFP’s with the goal of improving CUI security by introducing a formal audit program for compliance. \nMEGA Maryland: A Virtual Experience is the premier virtual month-long event for the architecture\, engineering\, and construction industry. This year’s theme is “Embracing Today’s Opportunities for Tomorrow’s Growth.” Our mission is to provide relevant and meaningful information inclusive of all members of the AEC industry with a focus on helping today’s small\, minority\, woman and veteran-owned businesses grow and thrive. Boasting 25+ speakers\, meaningful connections and client engagement\, this event cannot be missed! \nThe conference is presented by the Maryland chapters of the industry’s leading professional organizations including the Society of American Military Engineers\, the American Council of Engineering Companies\, the Design Build Institute of America\, the Society of Marketing Professional Services\, the Mid-Atlantic Region of Environmental Professionals\, and WTS International.
