DESCRIPTION:GovConnects will hold their Biz Breakfast to discuss how the Army agencies and organizations in the Maryland/DC/Delaware region are changing and what new opportunities there are for Howard County Government Contractors. \nThe US Army is fundamentally changing its approach to modernization and acquisition with the newly formed 4-star Army Futures Command (AFC).  AFC has the charter to accelerate the way the Army innovates and acquires new capabilities\, weapons\, equipment\, and systems through aggressive innovation and closer engagement with the private sector.  AFC is focusing on six modernization priorities: long-range precision fires\, next-generation combat vehicle\, future vertical lift\, network\, air and missile defense\, and Soldier lethality — all of which have been allocated $30 billion over the next five years.
