Director of Technology Solutions
Fletcher Hearns joined Edwards in September 2008 as a Senior Program Manager and Enterprise Solution Specialist responsible for designing and implementing enterprise-level project management (EPM) solutions around Microsoft Project Server 2007, 2010, and 2013. In July 2011, Fletcher assumed the leadership role for this area, becoming the Director of Technology Solutions. In this role, Fletcher continues to be responsible for the implementation of EPM solutions for Edwards clients, as well as overseeing the custom application development performed at Edwards around enterprise solutions and Microsoft® Project (Desktop & Server). Fletcher is also one of the leading trainers at Edwards in various aspects of Project Management and the use of project management tools.
Prior to joining Edwards, Fletcher spent seven years as the Director of Engineering at ODS Medical, a firm specializing in the development of systems used in the medical industry for digital diagnostic image dissemination and recording. Earlier in his career, he held various positions that involved the design, development, and project management of complex, high-performance systems used in the financial and online gaming industries.
Fletcher has more than 25 years of experience in software engineering, enterprise solutions development and project and product management. He has directed, managed and implemented large complex software development and systems integration projects including full system development lifecycle (SDLC) management from planning through operations support. His experience also includes requirements gathering, design, development, and implementation of enterprise level project management scheduling systems. Fletcher provides training and consulting support for several versions of Microsoft® Project as well as general project management and earned value analysis support to many of our customers. He is the company leader in developing and implementing project management processes, add-on toolsets, and training processes for newer versions of Microsoft® Project, including the enterprise version with Microsoft® Project Server.
Fletcher has a bachelor’s degree in computer science from Denison University. He is also a certified Project Management Professional (PMP®), PMI Scheduling Professional (PMI-SP®) with the Project Management Institute (PMI®), and is an active participant with PMI. Fletcher is also a Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS) in both Microsoft Project and Microsoft Project Server.
