Elkridge Maryland, January 16, 2015 — Edwards Performance Solutions (Edwards) recently completed partnering with the University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC) to assist with an advanced project management project, sponsoring a team of UMBC students. The course, builds on the beginner level project management courses offered by UMBC to expand each student’s hands-on application of project management principles and best practices with a focus on the critical evaluation of project performance. Students participated in the course through the UMBC Engineering Management Graduate Program.
Along with Edwards, other sponsors for this project included: Technology & Telecommunications Consultants, Inc. (TTC), General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT), PMI – Baltimore Chapter. During the weekly class, students teamed up with a sponsor to work on a specific part of this project.
The purpose of Edwards’ project was to determine a website hosting company and website developing company to refresh our corporate website – on time and on budget. The comprehensive and implementable plan included the detailed activities and resources required to update and host the website.
